So Barry, Milner, Gabby, Ash and 'Superman' Laursen have no gone to Hamburg then. Thank fuck we didnt play all that money to go out there and watch the reserves - well thats my opinion anyway, would of loved to of gone but i dont see the point especially as we have qualified too! I reckon if all the squad had of travelled and we played a strong team we would of won that quite easily!!

Guess what Pete , I think you have got it right there, just imagine booking 3 days off work the expense of travelling, to watch what is basically a reserve team ( a good one I'll grant you that). not the best way to endear the fans is it?

Well i'm back from the trip and i must say myself and nearly every Villa fan that went were a tad disspointed to say the least. I dont mind Villa resting players providing the players coming in are good enough but the likes of Harewood, Shorey, Salifou and Knight simply aren't good enough. What we seen of Hamburg we thought was a hole. The organisation after the match was complete rubbish aswell. On the plus side the beer we had was prob the finest beer i've ever tasted. It really was delicious. 18 hours travel on a coach was very long indeed and we moaned like good un's. That said the next time a trip comes along i'll prob end up booking a place
